Special thank you Mr and Mrs Omogiate, members and executives of G.B.O Lagos and Ogun state branch for another opportunity to celebrate this year Akugbe get together party.
Chairman, Ladies and gentlemen, You are welcome to this wonderful get together Great Benin Origin Diaspora Community occasion, celebrated every end of year.
G.B.O was initiated by Uwagboe Ogieva to create awareness and unity among members of Edoid family, friends and fans that share historic lineage of Great Benin Empire before Nigeria was born 1960. G.B.O is a diaspora organisation that have members all over the world. Sharing and helping members and societies.
We are a member of one family and origin, unique in culture and tradition, Rich in agriculture, architecture, natural vegetation and mineral resources, Beautiful in colours and one in diverties. Our ancestors were united and build Great Benin Empire well known in history book and global encyclopedia. Today, divided cannot build a state.
In unity of purpose, sincere ambition and dedication with collective hard work much can be done to build institutions, re-educate ourselves, children and society. Strenghten that which unite us, Teach Great Benin collective history, Leave and celebrate divers cultures together, trade together. encourage exchange of science and technologies including working together to industrialize the region.
I encourage you love yourself. Learn to be your brothers and sisters keeper as we all need each other especially in time of trouble and needs. G.B.O Lagos / Ogun state have been recognise and praise for their advance, selfless and productive organisation. The president, executive and members of diaspora body appreciate all your good works and vowed to be by you in all circumstances.
G.B.O is one in origin and one in diversities. May you all be richly bless as you celebrate and go home to your respective families.
Lastly, I wish you all happy Igue Oba, Igue Edo celebration.

It is coined in the memory of what led to the 1897 war of the Benin massacre that cannot be forgotten or left to be buried in order to knowing it’s importance among other activities, as a reference point to tracing and in remembrance of how the artifacts looted by the British undertakers are where they are today in Britain. Members and executives of Oseghe Edo Association join Ekae branch on end of year get together party held at coordinator's residence at Ekae, Ikpoba okha local government area of Edo state 10th of December, 2023. Among dignitaries present were Enowaen Nosa Idehen currently in Nigeria from Canada, Mr Osas Ayezuma, Mr Kelvin Uwaifo from Italy, Mr Simple Enabulele, cheif organiser of Oseghe Edo Association Diaspora community Ekae.  EDO STATE DIASPORA AGENCY A STEP IN RIGHT DIRECTION Edo state have very large migrants in Europe, America, Canada and Asia. In Spain, there are over a thousand Nigeria migrants with majority origin from Edo state.  Similar figure can be said of Portugal, France, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Ireland and some other Eastern Europe countries. Welfare of these great indigenes and citizenry of Edo state deserve just and fair representation. Benin city record  thousands of euros and dollars in transfers  from diaspora from 2001 to 2018 according to world bank statistical datas published. Most of these money transfers were made by Edo people in Europe, UK, America and Canada. There is need for Edo state government to institutionalized a diaspora agency for better management and communication Edo youths and children born in Europe with promising future and love for their father and mother land have increase over the years.
